Nell O'Leary

housework + me = trouble

Okay, okay, okay. Two things to tell you about that might help you manage your house better than I do mine.

Stop telling me about how much you don’t like and stink at housework, Nell. I mean, come on. You have three kids and haven’t been practicing law forever so I’m sure you can figure out how to do it. You’ve had plenty of time. Come on.

Bear with me and my confessional heart. I haven’t figured it all out. I should have? I must have?

RRRRRRRRRight. Nope. I’m hanging up my hat on housekeeper-shaming. I’m not going to feel badly about it anymore. Remember, I’m working on not overcommitting? And I am using my friend Clare’s cleaning supplies? And I’m trying another no-sugar-30 starting today? I just wanted a little help in being better around the house.

First: This little video course that’s free is super sweet (these ladies are so cute! Erin’s accent!) called 4 Simple Steps to Stress-free Homemaking. I just finished watching it. You can for free. Go forth, here.

Second: the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle. For people like me.

It’s a whole ton of e-books. For a really nice price. I wanted to buy this one because these homemaking skills are rough for me. I’m a researcher by nature and love rules & regulations (lawyer4eva). See the whole list of what’s in it here.

These ladies and gents talk my language:

cleaning & organizing// I’m not going to hire a cleaning service ever. But I live in a really big old house with more bathrooms than one-hand can count. I’m looking forward to the courses that can make it more manageable for me.

finances // I barely made it through fed tax. I’m not a numbers girl. But I wanna be better about keeping track of it all, I really, truly, really do. Wishing & hoping isn’t going to make it happen. The courses on finance may!!

pregnancy // I’m not pregnant with number four yet, and my crushing vomit-all-day-for-nine-months pregnancies are difficult for me and the other kids on many, obvious, don’t barf-on-my-project-mom levels. The course on coping and dare I say thriving through pregnancy? I want that.

meals // I am getting back on my bandwagon of WeekEats around here because food stuff is a challenge for me. The six recipes I know need to be expanded. In my ideal world, I meal plan, bake bread from scratch weekly, and dried fruit snacks for the kids. I know. I know.

I hate sounding like some weird salesperson, but I bought it and in case it would help you out, you can buy it through me and I get a portion of the sale. Fine print here.

It’s 76 ebooks, 6 ecourses, 1 audio download, 2 online courses, and 14 printable packets. For $29. Nice. Now I’m going to go read.
