The Northern Lights + Vlog

A Video Post

Another bucket list item well and truly ticked off – seeing the Northern Lights. On our first night we went out on snowmobiles in search of the lights, but gave up after only spotting a small green haze behind the clouds. The next night was something else altogether – suddenly everything lit up, and we could see the aurora dancing through the sky. It was beautiful, and made us feel ever so small and insignificant. It’s nice to be reminded sometimes.

We stayed out for as long as possible, trying to capture the memory as best as we could before our fingers froze. Miguel took his new role as an astrophotographer very seriously, and I’m glad he did because I love the shots that he took.

It wasn’t the only thing he worked hard on whilst we were out in the snow – he also shot a video that was meant to be a part of a vlog. Only, when looking at the footage we decided there was no way that we could ruin it with my silly rambling interrupting his beautiful shots.

I think you’ll agree when you watch, it tells you everything you need to know about our trip without me informing you vocally that we were on our way to breakfast, or how cute I thought the huskies were! It’s the kind of video I can’t wait to watch back one day – a wonderful memento of a very happy trip.

Do make sure you’ve got HD turned on and your volume up when you hit play! It’s totally worth it!

Thanks once again to Three Mobile & Feel at Home for the opportunity. x
