Happy Sunday! I had a bunch of things to do today, but being the weekend I had the perfect excuse not to do any of it, so instead I opened up Photoshop and began messing around. I’d spend hours and hours as a teenager making graphics of sorts (LiveJournal icons were a big deal back in the day), but gave up on any of that as I got older…I think the market for animated avatars decreased somewhat.

But after getting into calligraphy/handwriting lately, I’ve almost been forced to pick my old hobby back up again, as I’ve even had a few commissions come through! Of course, whenever anyone asks me to create something for them I feel like a total fraud who doesn’t know what she’s doing, but I have to start somewhere, and nothing bad can come from sharing my progress with you! I have a way to go until I’ll be happy with my work, but I know that’s a universal feeling.

Anyway, to the point! Thinking about how my feet are itching to travel, I made this wallpaper for use on computers, iPhones or iPads. I don’t have any plans to visit New York this year just yet, but I like to be spontaneous so we’ll see! Miguel likes to remind me that we have a wedding to save for!

My first trip of the year is in just a few days – I’ll be travelling to Finland again (any excuse to stock up on yummy Moomin biscuits). Any advice on packing for the snow would be much appreciated! x
