Happy Skin SS Creme Foundation

Okay. I have the greatest news! I have found what is probably the most natural looking foundation that has ever been made... ever. I was originally going to write "the most photo-friendly foundation", but I did notice a flashback when I took a photo of myself at night.. but still, look! Pretty!

Happy Skin is the newest local beauty brand to launch in the country. As a blogger, I obviously wanted to try their products the moment it was available in stores, but I didn't want to buy a product from the line just for the sake of buying something.

See, I wasn't very impressed with the eyeliner that they had (the tester at the counter has dried out.. was not a very good first impression), the Shut Up and Kiss Me shades weren't calling out to me. Sure, I have always eyed their face bases.. but the problem is the price.

The Happy Skin SS Second Skin Creme Foundation (P1199) is priced considerably higher than what I expected. So when I saw this on a blog sale, barely used, for only P200, I did not have any second thoughts. Hello, bargain.

No face base | With Happy Skin SS Creme Foundation
I got it in the shade Natural Beige, and happily, it's the perfect color for me. It has a strong yellow undertone which was a surprise, seeing as I normally associate beige with neutral. It's very liquid-y and runny, but ironically, it's quite hard to blend. I think it's because of the SPF20 it has? I find the RT Buffing Brush works the best for this kind of foundation.

But let's talk about the most important bit, and that is how this foundation makes me look so pretty on photos! HAHA Vanity aside, I still think it's true! :P It makes me look positively glowing. I find that putting on this foundation is the quickest way to make you look awake and ready for the day. This gives me the skin I wish I have.

The lasting power isn't all bad, either. These photos were taken after 4 and a half hours of wear - without any retouch. You can tell how oily my t-zone area is, but the rest of my face is actually still pretty fine. Nothing a little powder or blotting paper can't fix. I'm impressed.

This is the perfect everyday foundation, and honestly once I ran out, I won't even think twice to repurchase this.. not even the price!

Have you tried any Happy Skin products? :)
