Brazillian & Underarm Laser Hair Removal- My Experience (1st Session)

So last week I got laser hair removal done at LaserAway, and I wanted to share my experience with you! I was slightly nervous, as it’s, well, a laser, destroying hair follicles on your skin. I also was nervous about the areas.. well, one area in particular! I was getting it done on my underarms (no biggie) and brazillian. Kinda scary sounding, but thankfully it wasn’t nearly as bad as it sounded.

The process was pretty straight forward- I was given some sunglasses to wear to protect my eyes from the laser, and then the tech wiped off my deodorant and started the process. The laser had a cooling wand attached, so that really helped keeping the pain level low. The nice thing about this too is that the pain only lasts for a second, and then goes away once the laser stops. Both underarms took about 2 minutes total.

After getting my underarms done, it was time for the brazillian! It was funny, the tech looked at me after she finished my underarms and said “you’re not going to film this next part, right?” and originally I wasn’t, but then decided that if someone else was getting this done and talking about it in a video, I’d want to see their reaction because I assumed it’d be pretty damn painful!

Surprisingly, this hurt a lot less than I was expecting. I got comments on the video asking if you wear thin panties while getting it done, or if you would just be totally naked down there.. the answer is totally naked. I wasn’t embarrassed about it, you kinda just gotta put it in your mind that this person does this treatment all day every day, and kinda just think of it as going to the gyno. When you think about it that way, it’s really not a big deal at all, just another body part :)

The whole process for both areas took around 5 minutes. The tech said I could possibly feel a little sore and that I could use aloe, but I didn’t feel any sore or burn feelings and didn’t use any. I go back for my next treatment in 6 weeks, and will take you along again!
