New Year’s Eve Look and #xSparkageNewYears

Hi!

It feels great to be writing here again! December was a weird month for me- I had been dealing with postpartum depression on and off since Violet was born, but earlier this month is when it really hit hard. I was feeling really low, projecting my bad feelings onto other people, and honestly felt the least motivated I have felt in a long time, and in turn had no energy or drive to post to the blog or film videos.

About a week or two ago is when I finally decided I had to do something about it. I talked to Paul, finally admitted to myself that I wasn’t happy with how my life was going, and started to implement changes. I set up a workout/healthy eating plan (which we will talk about soon!) had a custom planner made as well as one specifically for blogging, and started writing down how I wanted to improve myself in 2015. I gotta tell ya, it was like an overnight turn around of me. Admitting my feelings of depression instead of just burying them away made me realize how much I wanted to change that, and I was ready to conquer 2015. I suddenly had a million ideas for my blog and youtube, began organizing my thoughts and plans, and setting up a schedule to be the best Leesha I could be!

AAAAANYWAYS, moral of that novel is I’m so excited for 2015 and to work hard and give it my all. To start that process, I created a New Year’s Eve look!

This look was inspired by wanting to try something different for NYE. When I think of New Years, I think of winged liner, gold glitter, and red lips. While that is always a classic, beautiful look. I wanted to play around with some not so used products in my collection and do something a bit different.

This look is a subtle cut crease with smokey browns and glitter. I wanted to do a smokey eye but with chocolate browns (which I LOVE, I always feel it look so much more sultry than straight black)

Here’s what I used:

Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Stila Sepia Smudge Stick (Eyeshadow Base)
Smashbox Master Class Palette III- Cinder on lid, Drizzle in crease, Royal & Sumatra in outer crease & lower lash line
Urban Decay Whiskey 24/7 Pencil smoked out on lower lash line, waterline, and upper lash line
Stila Snow Liquid Eye Liner
Lit Cosmetics Rhinestone Cowboy Glitter
L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara
Velour Strike A Pose Lashes

Cheeks
Tarte The Sculptor
L’Oreal Barely Blushing True Match Blush
Hourglass Ethereal Light Ambient Lighting Powder

Lips
NYX Candy Buttons Butter Lipstick
Too Faced Perfect Berry Lip Liner
L’Oreal Infallible Lipgloss- Something Shiny

Also, I just posted a quick video with some New Years Makeup Tips!

Lastly, I wanna see what your New Years makeup is going to be! Post to Instagram and Twitter with #xSparkageNewYears and I’ll pick some of my faved for a special blog post on the 1st.

Let me know in the comments what your beauty resolutions are for 2015! Personally, my resolution is to start wearing makeup more regularly, like I used to! I love how happy and confident I feel when I wear makeup, and somewhere along the line it turned in to a special occasion/filming thing instead of an everyday thing. Gonna change that this year! :)

Love you guys! Have a happy and safe New Years!!
