Urban Decay NEW Eyeshadows for Spring 2015

New Urban Decay! New Urban Decay! NEW URBAN DECAY!

I always feel like shouting from the mountains when I get a big box of new Urban Decay :) This one had SOO many new products- new blushes, new lipglosses, new primer potion.. But for this post, I bring you- New Eyeshadows!

We have eight brand new shadows here in UD’s signature eyeshadow formula, which means these have awesome texture and color payoff. There is a good amount of dual-toned eyeshadows here, too, which is always a favorite for me!

Riff is a warm brown matte. This is the only truly matte shade of the bunch, and though it is matte, I noticed it has a slight satin finish to it. This isn’t enough to really see it when using it on the eyes, but is really there to make it easy to work with, blend nicely and have an even texture.

Beware is a medium warm brown with a satin finish and gold micro sparkle. Beautiful texture here and pigmentation is spot on!

Sideline is a gold shimmer with green shift. My photos don’t show the shift being super noticable, but I think it’s much more prominent in person, especially depending on how it catches the light. This shadow formula is very creamy and blendable.

Lounge is described as a brick red with green shift. While I can see the brick red, I feel like it’s definitely overshadowed by the green shimmer. This color is very similar to Club from MAC, but with a better texture.

Tonic is a lavender with a blue/purple shift. This shade is beautiful, but I wish it was either a touch darker or lighter. The way it is now makes it somewhat light for a lid color (in pigmentation- its not the most pigmented of the bunch, so you really have to pack it on for lid color payoff), but too dark for an inner corner highlight.

Fireball is a peach with pink shift. This shade is gorgeous, but I do wish it had better pigmentation. I felt I really had to put a good amount of product on to get it to show off, and it still looked light.

Backfire is described as a burgundy with a purple shift. I see only purple here, and maybe a slight, sliiiight burgundy undertone. This shade has nice color payoff and texture.

Dive Bar is a medium blue with purple shift. Love this shade and the color payoff! Super blendable and creamy.
Overall I like the shades here, but I do wish some were a bit.. deeper? Fuller? with their color. Tonic and Fireball are both beautiful but I wish they applied more richly, if that makes sense. Make sure to look out for a look later today in my 30 Days of Beauty series that includes some of these! :)
