I feel excited to share these hot off the press images today and also give you a super exclusive first look at ’2015 Colour Expressions Forecast’ by Haymes. Having had the pleasure of working with Haymes in the past, I am simply elated at the images they’ve produced for their colour forecast this year. It’s just so great to see Haymes taking things up a notch in the styling and photography department. Bravo!

The new themes for 2015 have been derived from various trend-forecasting means. This research, together with Haymes’ own colour direction, forms the five trends that make up the Colour Forecast for the year ahead. Haymes’ inspiration comes from “an overriding awareness that people need to feel comfortable and secure within their home. Throughout each forecast look, the varying materials and colour palettes used reflect this concept of wanting to feel safe and relaxed within a space, providing a tranquil and soothing setting.”

The notion of re-connecting to our roots has seen a shift in colour direction, as we move towards softer palettes. This is evident in the two themes ‘Raw’ and ‘New Skin’ of solid and dependable colours. The exploration of natural tones leads to the development of lush greens and dusty pinks, which is illustrated in the themes ‘Rhythmic Palms’ and ‘Exotic Botanic’, both echoing the diversity of nature. In contrast, ‘Relaxed Replay’ brings together feel good, vibrant colours like bright yellow and hot pink, which is a reminder of the retro era. My personal favourite? That’s super easy - Rhythmic Palms of-course. How about you?
