The event was held a couple of weeks ago at White Spot, Makati. The place was filled with pink and kawaii decorations, I swear, I wanted to bring home one of those figurines! It would be timely too since I’m redecorating my room! Haha.
Anyway, the star of the event is of course, the Miss Manga mascara, but before the main program, we were given the chance to choose our preferred makeover style. They offered 2 looks/rooms: the Cute Doll Room and the Flirty Doll Room.
I chose to have my makeover at the Cute Doll Room and I must say, I’m very impressed by how my hair turned out. I know that it’s not a hair-related event but if you’ve been following me for a long time, you’ll know that I really don’t give a damn about styling my hair. But what that stylist did to my hair that day made me think twice, lol.
Then after our makeover and eating our snacks, the program started. We were asked to describe our lashes. My lashes are naturally long, thin and straight pointing downwards. It will take me a couple of attempts to perfectly curl my lashes and I will need a really good mascara to hold the curl until the end of the day.
According to L’oreal experts, Caucasian lashes are rounded on the roots and tips but are flat (elliptical) in the middle, hence the natural curl. On the other hand, Asian lashes, are rounded all throughout resulting in a straight, downward-pointed line. Therefore, it was suggested that an arched mascara brush should be used to lift and curl Asian lashes.
Meet our new best friend, Miss Manga mascara by False Lash. For some of you who are not yet familiar (although I doubt it, srsly) Manga is a widely popular Japanese art style featured in comic books and graphic novels, embodied by characters with wide, big eyes. Taking this as inspiration, L’Oréal Makeup Designer/Paris developed a mascara specifically made for Asian lashes.
The secret behind Miss Manga is its patented conic arched brush. This curved brush with an extra thin tip easily catches even the shortest lashes and bottom lashes, curling them from the root. Also, its Asia-specific formula delivers a perfect curl hold that is 24-hour long-lasting and 12-hour sweat proof. The result? The perfect doll lash look – lively open eyes with lashes that curl up to frame the eyes like never before.
Oh and of course, here are my event buddies, Gen of genzelkisses.com and Celline of cellinereyes.com We’ve been event buddies, since when? Uhm…
Of course, I also met one of the cutest gals in the event. Miss Manga herself. She’s so cute and her lashes are indeed VA-VA-VOOM!
