Brilliant Earth is a company based out of San Francisco, specializing in conflict-free diamond jewelry. My boo and I are planning on getting engaged in the next year or two, and I've been looking at rings a ton recently (as you do when you're pushing 30). Finding an engagement ring and wedding bands that don't come at the expense of human lives is absolutely top priority for me. In looking exclusively at conflict-free and vintage jewelry, I ended up on Brilliant Earth's website a month or so ago, where they sell both. Seeing as how I was already a fan of the company, I was really psyched when they approached me to participate in a "Personality Style Challenge" with some other bloggers! I thought it sounded fun, and of course, I love a challenge. Especially one that involves ethical bling! They asked me to put together a mood board based on my personality, including Brilliant Earth pieces, so I went with my ideal wedding look:
The dress is from
ModCloth, the bat headband is
Eugenia Kim, the pumps are
Saint Laurent, the
antique ring and
moon earrings are
Brilliant Earth, and the bouquet is black calla lillies. My mom, grandma, and future in-laws would probably disown me before they let me get married in this, but a gal can dream...
