Eight months i’ve had DWNTWN at the top of my spotify.
Sure others have come along, stayed for a week, and then left just as easily.
But I can’t get over DWNTWN. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that this is a long-term kind of deal. And I challenge y’all not to fall as well.
I really have yet to find anything more captivating than the human spirit. And, oh what a spirit Jamie Leffler has.
An author has page after page, chapter upon chapter, to build a character that you can connect with, someone you root for. But songwriting is an art where you tell a story in a few lines, lay over a melody, and just hope it reaches others beyond those riffs.
There’s something worthwhile about listening to those whose sleeves are worn and tattered from the number of times they’ve sewn their hearts to it. Just listen to
