Cookie Madness is a collection of recipes I’ve tried over the years. The original goal was a cookie blog, but these days I post recipes for brownies, cakes, pies, ice cream, cupcakes and other sweets. The fastest way to find recipes is with the search tool, but you can also browse the Recipe Index. Thanks for visiting!

Trending on Cookie Madness
Check out recipes that readers are loving. I'm not always good at updating this, but here goes. The Chicago Public School Cookies and the Subway Copycats are still favorites, with Donna Kelce's or "Mama Kelce's" cookies joining their ranks. You'll know why when you try them. Making Burnt Basque Cheesecake in a loaf pan is popular right now, as is using white cake mix for Red Velvet. I'm excited to see people trying Luby's Butternut Brownie Pie (which is nothing like brownies, btw) and pleased to see the Fluffy Cheesecake recipe working in so many kitchens.

Small Batch Recipes
If you want to do more baking, but don't have a lot of people to bake for, here are some small batch recipes to consider.

Memorial Day and Beyond
I can't believe it's almost Memorial Day. Here are a few suggestions for barbecue or potluck type desserts. The Pig Pickin' Cake is an obvious choice. Golden Grahams S'mores Bars are perfect for middle aged people. And then you have your Scotcheroos, which were in the NYT recently and must be making a comeback. I like Tracy's with the Special K. They need a new photo. Speaking of new photos, the Blueberry Pie needs a new photo too, but Jen liked it so that means it's good. The Smooth Strawberry Cheesecake is still a winner, as are the German Chocolate Cupcakes, which are a project and a rather small batch, but still. And finally, two of my most classy and elegant desserts, Dream Cake and Frito Candy.
