Why I chose a furnished office space over an unfurnished one
As someone in the primitive stages of building a startup, finding a professional office space for it was a big challenge. Already cash strapped, I knew that budget was a major concern but then again not wanting to compensate on the needs of my modern business made the task tougher. After days of online research and consulting with a gazillion people, I understood that the first choice to be made was between a furnished office space in noida or an unfurnished one for myself. After all, my future depended on the success of this startup and how I presented it to the world. In short, I started looking for a heavenly abode for my business. I knew that the size of my business would be a decisive factor and that is why after measuring all the pros and cons of furnished office space and an unfurnished one I finally settled for a furnished one in a coworking office. Hence, for your better understanding, I share my experience of 4 top reasons that prompted me to make the choice.
1. A complete set-up-
As I stepped into the gates of a coworking space, I was offered a full possession of the space immediately. All I had to do was plug in and start working. All the hassles of setting up the space and looking after the maintenance of what all goes in the making of the space was saved. I saved my biggest resource there i.e. my time. My business operations were not impacted and besides it lent a more professional and creative outlook to my business. I knew I had made the right choice when the workplace culture gave a significant boost to my business’s productivity.

While starting out with the hunt for the perfect office space I always felt that the average cost of an unfurnished space will be lower than that of a furnished space. Like I mentioned earlier, moving into a fully furnished office saved me a lot of time not just in terms of skipping out on vendors and architects to decide the floor plan but also in terms of striking out deals with service providers. Luckily enough, I landed at a coworking space which was at a walking distance from the metro and world-class amenities locked inside. For me it was like stepping into pandora’s box, I asked for a service and they had it. I am a coffee lover and the moment I found out that the shared office space in noida offered unlimited access to coffee with my membership plan, I was sold. Additionally, I didn’t have to go out on a limb trying to strike out deals with different service providers which trying to fit the expenses in my budget. It was like having everything served on a platter and the price offered was a real bargain.
4. That Community Feeling
While this might not entirely fit the bill of having furnished office space, because you can also lease out one but since I opted for one in a coworking space, I couldn’t let go of the fact that I felt welcomed here. Since day one of my journey I was supported and the services were curated to my needs. The amount of community interaction I had here was the icing on the cake as I realized that there were a number of other startups operating from there. I could share my experiences with them and have them share theirs. My business was instantly promoted by the close-knit social circle and the words of wisdom of some of the established entrepreneurs there were a big inspiration. The regular events and cultural platforms hosted by the space enhanced my social circle and I made connections that I would never have made had I went for an unfurnished space. The flexibility offered and the amount of additional resources that came along by being part of that community still makes me want to go to my office everyday.
