In 2010 I left my life in Boston to volunteer for a birthing clinic in Bali. My plan was to stay for six months, but I remained for a year and a half. Now I am back in the U.S. trying to figure out how to build a life doing what I love most: writing. In the process I'm learning to embrace the scary freedom of not knowing what's going to happen next.
