A new way to run the Bay

There’s a new running series in town – a new way to run local here in the Bay Area!

Corrigan Racing, the same company who brings us the Oakland Running Festival every year, is rolling out a new three-part series. Each event will have a 10 mile or 5k option. The inaugural event is the Foster City 10mi/5k will take place on Sunday, January 12th at 8:30 am.

From the event page:

“The Inaugural Foster City 10-Miler/5k will take place on Sunday, January 12. This will kick off the first of a series of Bay Area 10-Milers in 2014. The Foster City 10-miler features scenic views of San Francisco Bay and should get your new year started in the right direction. All runners will get a performance apparel shirt, water, electrolytes, assorted snacks and complimentary beer.

SAY WHAT?!?

Run a scenic inaugural race, support local events and drink beer?

Sure, it’s the Sunday before I tackle both the Tinkerbell 10k and the Tinkerbell Half Marathon, but that’s not going to stop me! I will definitely be out there running… for beer. Sign me up!

BONUS: Register for the Inaugural Foster City 10-Miler or 5k with my code RUN103 and receive 10% off of your entry fee! (Entry fees go up again on 12.01. Code RUN103 good through December 31st.)

Hope to see you out there!
