Hawaii Travel Diary Part II

Hawaii Travel Diary Part II! What a trip! Maui was two weeks of sun-soaked, sand-between-the-toes amazingness. Although this wasn’t my first time to Hawaii, I never bore of the swaying palm trees and perfect sunsets. Each trip I find myself easily slipping into the resort life… That is caftans, cocktails, and cabanas.

This trip, I lived in black, white, and punches of color. Must-have cover-ups include, the perfect eyelet romper by 6 Shore Road and Guria Beachwear Silk Tunic for a little added poolside glamour. Although I’m admittedly a swimsuit addict, I must say my new Triangl Swimwear Milly Neoprene Bikini became a clear favorite. The neoprene material wasn’t something I had experienced before in a swimsuit but ended up loving the fit of the thick material. The neoprene paired with the design of the structured bikini top made for a super modern look I couldn’t get enough of. By night, I found myself enjoying cut-outs and crop tops, especially my Motel Kowloon Cross Over Dress and Bare Cross Front Top. Must-have accessories included, Get Me To New York Hell’s Kitchen Silk Chiffon Scarf chicly tied around my head to keep my hair under control while enjoying breezy beaches, Jonathan Adler Animal Borders Duchess Large Pouch to carry my phone, wallet, and sunscreen, and statement sunglasses (Celine CL 41053 05D Sunglasses and Miu Miu Plastic & Metal Cat’s-Eye Sunglasses).

While traveling to tropical destinations like Maui, I think it’s all about ditching your normal beauty routine for a more simplified version that highlights your sun-kissed skin and let’s you embrace your natural self. That being said, my Maui beauty routine included, lotions (Julep Rock Star Hand Crème and Julep Mint Condition Pedi Crème), the perfect statement lip (Julep Plush Pout Lip Crayon – such a new favorite! I wore it day-to-night without fail – even in the pool), and finally, but maybe most importantly, eyelash extensions. Prior to departing for Maui, I visited Noir Lash Lounge in Bellevue, Washington to try-out their newest and most dramatic lash service yet: Viva La Volume (also known as “Russian Volume” lashes in the beauty industry). It is a hot new technique where multiple lightweight lashes are attached onto one real lash. This new technique being first to market in the Seattle area, I jumped at the opportunity to pump up the volume. I’ve received eyelash extensions before from various salons but have to say I was blown away by the volume of these particular extensions! This new technique is like nothing I have previously experienced and would highly recommend the service for anyone wanting to ditch their mascara on their next tropical getaway (or to anyone looking for everyday I-woke-up-like-this lash perfection)!
