Purple Hair!

I have purple hair, yes indeed!

I am currently in the process of growing out my pixie and it’s a daily struggle. I fight the urge to cut it super short constantly. But you see, I haven’t had hair past my shoulders in 20 years, so I am really curious to see how long I can get it, and also what it will look like now.

In order for me to NOT cut it again I needed to do something interesting. Awhile back I was thinking about doing a pale pastel pink but then I decided nah, I want lavender!

So I had it done yesterday and I really like it! They used a Special Effects silver shade with a drop of dark purple to make it this silvery purple. It’s on the darker side now because we wanted to compensate for the fading, which will probably occur rather quickly.

I purchased the L’Anza Healing ColorCare Shampoo & Conditioner, which has no sulfates (which washes dye out) and has UV protection in it. Hopefully this, along with me not washing every single day, will help it last. I actually don’t mind if it fades out a bit and becomes more of a lighter pastel lavender because that’s what I was trying to go for with the color.

Life is too short for boring hair, that’s my motto.
