Grey Days

Growing up in Canada, grey days were common, particularly in the month of January.

Winter days became shorter, colder and silence swept across the barren plains.

As a serious solitude emerged outside, so did one inside.

But in it’s defense, grey days have a sleepy beauty of their own.

In the absence of color, a dreamy world emerges.

In this monochromatic realm any idea can become possible.

(Insert dream here).

And suddenly something awakens inside….

…and I walk through the misty fog and into a colorful world.
