eco-fashion friday finds – into the woods

As things begin to warm-up spring draws us out and into the woods… (above) A lingerie set fit for a woodland fairy. This camisole and panty set is designed and handmade by Rio Wrenn of R.A.W. Textiles in Portland Oregon. Made of a natural silk knit and a rusted silk chiffon insert – the camisole features a lovely butterfly. $61 @ fairejour

For real earth lovers – this octagonal bangle features real woodland artifacts embedded in eco resin. The woodsy bangle contains real lichen, birch bark and twigs foraged from the Pacific Northwest woodlands. This large bangle is shiny and smooth, with extra large facets that will catch the eye of anyone you walk by.

The piece is made from California-based Entropy Resin’s eco resin. Most resins are petroleum-based products, however, this eco resin uses bio-derived materials such as pine oils recovered from the waste-streams of other manufacturing products. $162.50 from RosellaResin

Sometimes it’s the simple things – this simple, yet elegant mustard colored hemp bag is 100% hemp on the outside and is lined with organic duck canvas. Put a bird on it – the swallow and branch graphic was screen-printed by hand. On sale for $58.50 from Uzura.

For those about to enter the urban wilderness, this handmade, bamboo and organic cotton designer jacket should jump start their spring look. This OOAK series of jackets, entitled “Path of Light” features the print designs of local artists Justin Totemical and Blake Wrinkles and a unique ‘bustle’. $123.94 from Vancouver-based, Inkspoon
