Poptails

When you think of your childhood, nostalgic sweet treats are probably one of your fondest memories – especially in summer when ice lollies and ice cream constituted for breakfast, lunch and dinner (well we could only dream!).

Whilst ice-cream already comes in a variety of popular alcoholic flavours including classic rum & raisin, Pina Colada (and even beer!), ice lollies are now joining the trend in the form of Poptails!

Created by master mixologist David Kay of Late Night London, and produced by Lickalix, the Poptail combines an ice lolly made from natural ingredients, dipped into a glass of dry Prosecco.

According to David this is “a perfect combination of alcoholic delight and cool refreshing flavours certain to have you hooked!

“I wanted to complement the nuances of the Prosecco with bespoke lollies that would collectively produce a unique taste sensation.”

David’s creation is currently available in raspberry and passionfruit flavour, and is served at a number of London bars including: The Sterling, Grace Bar, The Gable and The Last.

Of course alcohol flavoured ice lollies are not a new trend, with various cocktail flavours being frozen to create a less than innocent icy treat!

With anything from Cosmopolitans to Pimms being made into lollies, the options for indulging are endless!
