Perched at my kitchen table with a glass of lemonade at my side, the sun today is a very welcome sight. A slight whisper of a breeze is passing in and out of an open door and I am feeling positively optimistic.
As I mentioned in my last post, myself and mother Rose took the opportunity to wander around a handful of charity, antique and general 2nd hand shops last week when we found ourselves in town and at a bit of a loose end.
Banned from buying any more furniture, to up-cycle or otherwise, I stuck to my other great love and came away with 2 shirts, a dainty little camisole and a coat. In the meantime Rose was charmed by some vintage glass jelly moulds, a brush and mirror vanity set and a wicker cat basket. I'm still amazed that it even found its way to a home that is 5 dogs strong and currently, entirely cat-less.
