It is the season of standing in fields, as you let your eyes wander from table to table scanning for that something that singles you out and mouths, 'buy me.' The idea of selling things from the boot of your car has no more advanced than way back when and we are still enticed. I am especially guilty.
For the past three or four weekends I have found myself in the very position of boot sale bargain hunter and have done pretty well for my efforts. I primarily had my sights firmly set on clothing/ accessories as I have had to admit to myself that there is no use in buying any more kitchen ware or other home things for a house that doesn't yet exist.
Admittedly I'm not very good at rummaging through piles of clothes (unless something stands out) and usually head straight for rails, but luckily for me the rails were out in force.

Denim is always something I'm looking to find and I thought the jacket could become quite a staple, whilst the high-waisted jeans could well be transformed into some lovely cut-offs. I am currently wearing the black smock style dress, which as I had guessed is oversized and perfect for warm casual days like today. Asos have some similar dresses in at the minute, but for a mere 75p I think I've got it covered. Lots of 50p bargains were also had including a classic plaid scarf, a little snap-back from the USA, a vintage silky scarf and one of those 'Geek' vests (the lure of the 50p mixed with heat twisted my arm to buy it, despite not really being a fan!) My favourite find of the day however, has to be the vintage leather handbag which I'm sure will see much use.

I recently read a really helpful thrifting guide by Hannah and I really do urge you all to go have a read. I have gathered so many useful tips that I will definitely be putting into action next time I find myself on a second-hand treasure hunt.
