It’s the subtle details of my surroundings that really inspire me, like a crunchy golden leaf falling from a wilted tree, or a weathered stone staircase that makes you question how many seasons it’s experienced and lives it’s lived, or entangled vines cascading over a Parisian balcony. It’s small details like these that I like to piece together like a puzzle to create a finished story in my own head. Some I share, others I keep. Perhaps these are the reasons why I feel nostalgic when I’m not at home and feel nostalgic for the rest of the world when I am.
