Shooting for Roland Mouret

It’s been a while since my last post, as I’ve been physically jumping from one country to the next. I started my summer abroad working in Hong Kong, and then flew to London for 48 hours for meetings, Sicily for one week on a personal trip with 8 of my close friends (the first time I’ve ever traveled overseas with a group of friends!), Paris for 48 hours with Lancome, and now Luke and I are in Norway for his 30th birthday and to also start shooting a very exciting project!

During my 48 hours in London I had the chance to stop by Roland Mouret‘s flagship store, which is also his incredible light-filled office. Roland had just released his exclusive 8 piece collection with Woolmark and Myer, which was a campaign we shot in secret over 4 months ago in the very same light-filled space.

For my younger readers who may not be familiar with Roland Mouret, his deep understanding of the woman’s body and sharp focus on structure and silhouettes has been celebrated around the world for the past decade. Arguably the mentor of Victoria Beckham – a very close friend – Roland’s super chic, polished and refined aesthetic has earned him a cult-following of nearly every A-list celebrity you can think of, even royalty like Kate Middleton. But regardless of the countless celebrities who declare their love and appreciation for Roland’s work, it’s the personal love and appreciation I’ve had for his aesthetic that make this campaign extremely special for me. To embody the Roland Mouret woman is an honour, and I could not be happier to welcome his iconic vision to Australia for the very first time. Why did it take so long for Roland Mouret to come to Australia? I wish I knew the answer, but trust me, it’s been well worth the wait…
