VeggieTales Out of This World

Disclosure: This is sponsored post for

Veggie Tales and House Party. All opinions are my own.

Friday morning, I invited my MOPS table over for a play date.

When Riley was first with us, my mom insisted that I find a Mother’s Day out to join, so that I could have the support of other ladies in my shoes. Our church doesn’t have a MOPS group or Mother’s Day out, so I felt very out of my comfort zone trying to search for a group. Two sweet friends invited me to join a group they had found.

It took me until the third meeting to join them. I allowed anxiety and excuses to keep me from going.

Now, I can’t imagine our schedule without it! These girls have taken me in and loved on me since day one. Well, since my day one

On Friday, I baked Cinnamon Swirl Crumb Cake & Muffin Mix, which I leaned about at MOPS. (I always have a box in my pantry – not kidding – just in case of guests. It is so easy and makes the house smell yummy. And you know how I am about smells.).

The guests arrived and we put on VeggieTales Out of This World for the kids. We drank coffee and ate cake and had amazing talks.

The conference I just returned from, Hope Spoken, has me very aware of how important sharing our story is. As we chased the little ones, I listened as we encouraged each other through some tough stuff. We are all on different parts of the journey. As we were open and vulnerable to each other, you could see everyone take a deep breath. We laid out our struggles and thoughts and walked away encouraged and lifted up.

Find a group. Build a community. Show up. Encourage.

Have a great week!
