We Got Our Photos Taken!

Cody and I are very lucky to have a talented photographer friend. Our friend Rachael, owner of Green Leaf Photography, snapped some beautiful photos of us last month. We didn't know if we were moving to Portland for sure yet, but by looking at the smiles on our faces in these pictures you could tell we were very happy. I think having photos taken is so important. It's a great keepsake and a special way to mark an important time in your life.

For our photos we decided to have them taken in Fort Collins Colorado in the old town area. Our plan was to just walk around and see what cool backdrops we could find. Of course there had to be a coffee drinking shot...

Rachael took so many beautiful pictures, that it was very hard for me to decide which ones to share on the blog! We were in high spirits that day, feeling pretty good about the way things were going. We had sold our house two days prior and were just waiting to hear if Portland was a go! (Little did we know, that a few weeks later we would get the good news!) We didn't have a lot of poses picked out, so we just tired to be our silly selves. :P

Having the photos taken was a blast! However, I think looking at them afterwards is more fun. I can't wait to get some printed and framed. I look forward to having Rachael photograph us again in the future.

I've been wanting to have our photos taken for the last few years. I'm so glad I finally made it happen. Life goes by so fast! Plus, I don't even look like the same person anymore since I chopped my hair off. hahaha
