Patriotic Cake Mix Cookies

I am back with some more festive 4th of July cookies. Last week I posted some great Red, White, and Blue Sandwich Cookies. I made the red and blue cookies using Red Velvet and Blue Velvet cake mix. When I made the sandwich cookies I realized that some other great patriotic treats could be made using the cake mix cookies. Cake mix cookies are really easy to make and these cookies would be a great patriotic treat for any 4th of July celebration.
For this treat I took the red and blue cookies and dipped half of the cookie in white chocolate. Then I sprinkled some red, white, and blue sprinkles on top of the white chocolate. This makes an easy and festive cookie for the 4th of July.

These Patriotic Cake Mix Cookies were very delicious. I really loved the combination of the white chocolate and sprinkles on top of the cake mix cookies. I also really love how festive they are and that they are really easy to make, just using two boxed cake mixes. I hope you try these delicious and festive cookies!

Patriotic Cake Mix Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 box Red Velvet cake mix
• 1 box Blue Velvet cake mix
• 2/3 cup vegetable oil
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
• Sprinkles

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, stir the blue velvet cake mix, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, and 2 eggs with a spoon until dough forms.
3. In another large bowl, stir the red velvet cake mix, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, and 2 eggs with a spoon until dough forms.
4. Separately roll the blue and red dough into rounded teaspoonfuls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the cookies are set.
5. Once the cookies are cooled, dip half of each cookie into the white chocolate, then add sprinkles on top of the white chocolate. Set on top of a cookie sheet coated in parchment paper to dry.
