Golden Tote Series – Round One

Fall is one hundred and ten percent my absolute most favorite season to dress for. I love coziness and layers and knits, all at once, and fall allows me to wear all the things and not die of heatstroke at the same time. I recently cleaned out my closet big time and sold a whole bunch of clothes that no longer fit me or were just things I didn’t wear, so my fall selection was looking a little low. That was until I got an opportunity to try out a Golden Tote for myself.. and now I’m feeling pretty ready for fall!

What is Golden Tote? It’s kind of like a subscription bag.. for clothes! I say KIND OF like a subscription because it’s not actually a subscription, you can just choose to purchase it every month as they put out a new bag and selection every month. Sounds perfect, right? It is. Unlike other clothing subscriptions where you have to return the clothes or pick a couple pieces to buy, the pieces you’re sent are all yours. You’re able to let your stylist know exactly what things you DON’T like and would absolutely never wear, so they’re pretty spot on when picking things for you. Plus, you get to pick out one or two things yourself so you are pretty much guaranteed to like those items! You can sign up for the newsletter here to get the info on next month’s Golden Tote. I’m going to be sharing the pieces I got in my Golden Tote throughout the month, starting with these pants.

These pants were one of the items I chose when going through the checkout for my Golden Tote. I have really been wanting a new pair of black skinnies because the pair I have currently have lost their elasticity and have started getting baggy around the knees which I can’t stand in a pair of pants! I have a feeling these skinnies will be perfect because they are nice and fitted but still comfortable.

Also- this BB Dakota jacket from LuLu*s is going to be my go to this fall, I know it. I have a couple short jackets like this that are perfect for pairing with jeans and a tee for a not-too-try-hard but kind of did try look, but they are all way too light for the cooler weather. This one is the perfect cut for how I like to pair it and is just heavy enough to keep me warm but not make me feel over-bundled.

The color also perfectly matches my beloved striped top that Amaranth Collection has sold through THREE times, for obvious reasons ;) Who doesn’t like a good striped top? Half my wardrobe is striped… I just like them a lot, clearly. I also like this layered top and this cozy sweater and have decided I need those too.

Aaaand.. a last and final note. I GET MY HAIR DONE TODAY! I’m so excited, haha. Since I chopped all my long hairs off back in April, I’ve been taking it pretty easy on my hair in the hopes that it’ll grow fast (why do we cut off our hair if we always regret it? I’ll never know), so in that six and a half months span of time all I’ve done is box dye it once (I used to box dye probably once a month, shame on me) and got the ends lightened ombre-style which is basically nothing compared to how much I used to put my hair through. The color is so flat and is dying for something new now though, so DARK RED here we come!! I’m stoked!
