Lets play a game of love

For the playful but sensual girl in everyone of us, Kenzo has created a new fragrance for fall: Kenzo Jeu d’Amour. The fragrance just like its name plays a game of love. It opens up with the sweet notes of tea, pomegranate and mandarin, which I find soothing and calming, and then the tuberose hits and awakens the senses, at the end the sandalwood and musk make it for a more still powdery fragrance. Just like how we play the game of seduction, initially sweet, then energetic till the moment we have won the game and we can go back to being our usual selves.

“Play, Smile, Seduce, Seduce again, Provoke, Surprise… Love is a gamble. Seduction, a game of cards… Never being where he expects you. All the better to charm him.”

Kenzo Jeu d’Amour Fragrance Notes

Top notes: Tea, Mandarin and Pomegranate

Middle notes: Tuberose and Freesia

Base notes: Sandalwood and Musks

The Queen of Heart of the new Kenzo Fragrance Jeu d’Amour is the sensual french actress Louise Bourgoin. I have seen her play on the over the top fantasy adventure movie ‘The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec‘ directed by Luc Besson. The movie per se was an old school fun with childish humour so I had totally overlooked the sensual part of the actress, but she brings her fun persona also to the short film presenting the fragrance.

The Kenzo Jeu d’Amour fragrance bottle was designed by Karim Rashid, who has also designed the one for Kenzo Amour. To me it looks like a ball gown of a modern day Cinderella.
