Pad Thai and Pearl Jam

Tuesday Matt and I rented Lone Survivor. While I was watching the movie, based on a true story of Navy Seals in Afghanistan, I kept messing with a horribly painful hangnail and complaining about how much it hurt…until I realized the irony of whining about a stupid hangnail while watching Mark Wahlberg act out a Seal pushing his own bone back into his body then climbing down a mountain. Perspective.

Other thoughts from the movie: it was good, but I could’ve saved myself 2 hours and cut right to the chase and started crying hysterically.

Other ridiculous things I did Tuesday? I skipped a run so that I could make dinner for Matt instead of making him make dinner for the 120,475th time in a row…but then instead I begged him to make my favorite easy pad thai recipe while I chatted with him about how lazy I felt for not running. He’s a lucky guy.

For those of you that want to know the recipe for the worlds easiest pad thai, here ya go:

The pictured version has a few variations (no chicken, added sauteed mushrooms, topped with chives, honey instead of sugar)…we’ve been making this dish for a while now so it changes depending on what we have in the house

I also watched Eddie Veder sing Let It Go…then researched Pearl Jam tour dates…then remembered how tired of traveling I am so decided to watch approximately 15 Pearl Jam videos instead of buying tickets to Austin City Limits. More responsible? Yes. Less fun? Abso-freakin-lutely.

After my YouTube sponsored Pearl Jam concert, I bought these abs. I mean bathing suit.

So imagine the above picture in pink…and not on a supermodel…and that’s what I’ll be looking like this summer.

Last movie you watched?

Favorite weeknight go to recipe?

Are you a Pearl Jam fan? Favorite song?

Just Breathe makes me think of our wedding so let’s go with that. Daughter is a very close second.
