elements of a chic reading nook…

One thing that I think is essential in every home is a good well designed reading nook. I have an E-decorating client right now, that doesn’t have a place to read, sip tea, journal, etc. I know what you’re thinking ‘that’s a huge part of achieving domestic bliss, right?!’ Right! Her and her husband are young and fun and their home has lots of exposed wood. So, I thought we could jazz it up a little and get some glam elements into the space. So she can make her tea and have a place to sip it too.

Here are what I envision for an eclectic casual look…

(caramel zebra print rug) – I adore how neutral this rug is, it can go with ANY style of decor.

(tufted teal chair) – I’m very into this style of chair for myself, the high arms keep you snuggled in.

(cubed floor lamp) – this stunner makes a room look like a million bucks.

(mirrored pillow) – I love this guy from John Robshaw. so chic.

(mongolian fur pillow) – it just always makes a chic statement. This one is a GREAT price.

(bubble ceramic side table) – I love the shape and pattern on this.

(abstract art) – this is such a cool mix of colors.

(agate accents) – geodes make for great accessories.
