Tulle Pom Pom Cupcake Accent

Cupcakes are a very trendy party treat nowadays, but now that they’re getting fancier how do you make your cupcakes stand out? The answer: throw some cupcake accents on top! Here we’ve shown you how to turn Tulle Pom Poms (you can find our DIY tutorial here) into adorable cupcake accents.

To start you’ll want to follow all of the steps found in our previous tutorial, but this time omitting step 6, cutting off the excess ribbon that you used to tie the pom pom. The reason is because you’ll want to use that excess ribbon to attach a straw to the pom pom (this step is shown below). You can use any type of straw you would like, but here we’ve used our Striped Paper Straw in red since the holidays are near. Next, put in the center of your cupcake (push it all the way down to ensure it will stay in place) and that’s all there is to it!
