The beach boutique.

The greatest thing about spring is walking outside, intoxicated by the smells of the blossoming trees, enveloped by the warmth of the sun, and inspired by colours you forgot existed during the winter months. I’m no antagonist to the colour wheel, I don’t conform to the notion of “black is the new black”. No honey, carnation pink is the new black.

Last week I wore an outfit hefty in colour in the most monochrome city- and sure I got some persistent eyeballs my way, but why should we conform to the notion of classic fashion (or boring fashion) when colour enriches our life? Whilst in NYC, I visited the Club Monaco flagship store on 5th Avenue, fell in love with this rich blue paisley skirt from the Beach Boutique collection, and couldn’t wait to get home and wear it amongst the blossoming trees. So that’s exactly what I did. I’m a cliche, I know. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Or don’t hate the game, because the game is so so pretty!
