Latest Fashion Inspiration & Spring Wishlist: Kimonos & Flowers

Even though I have 1.5 months of winter left to go, I am way too excited for spring. All of the semi-annual sales happening to make room for the new spring collections coming out is making me want to start shopping for spring already. I'm excited for more sunshine, longer days, warmer weather, and of course, flowers!!
Saltwater Gypsy Kimono $255
Kimonos are big on my must-haves list for spring 2014. I've been obsessed with them since autumn, but I haven't had a chance to wear them that often since the weather got cold pretty quickly. They are a perfect addition for spring and summer because many of them are made out of chiffon or silk, giving it an "airy" feel.
Mink Pink Kimono at Wasteland - $108
In addition, for many people out there who are petite like me (I'm 5'2") and feel that wearing long coats/sweaters/etc might make them look weird, have no fear. I was afraid of this as well at first; sometimes long articles of clothing can overwhelm a petite/short frame. I own a long fur coat and a long kimono/cardigan that are both down to my calves, and I find that wearing high-waisted bottoms often help elongate my shape more and helps to balance out the long outerwear. Wearing shoes with platform/heels helps as well, but I tend to wear flat shoes more.

And as much as I enjoy high fashion and more upscale stores like Zara and Topshop, I will always be a sucker for oversized vintage T-shirts that I buy for less than $10 at thrift shops. Unless it's a totally cool design or you love the cotton it's printed on, what's the point of getting a band T-shirt that a bunch of people might have the same of? (especially for me going to a fashion conscious school where many of the people shop at the same retail stores as I do)

I do not take credit for any of the above photos posted.
