Chelsea Market

GET THE LOOK | beanie: Moorea Seal // jacket: Need Supply // purse: MICHAEL Michael Kors // booties: Urban Outfitters (similar style)

Quentin and I went to Chelsea Market yesterday to meet up with one of my former coworkers who left the world of health policy behind to pursue his love of food, namely cheese (he is a cheese whisperer–I’ll prove it to you tomorrow). He’s such a nice and funny guy, and I’m so glad that he’s happy doing what he loves. That’s what life is all about, right?

It was hard for me to make the effort to get out of the house, though. Believe me when I say this weekend was the first time in a long time that I’d really gotten up and gone anywhere this winter. It’s just too cold outside. I don’t like cold air. I don’t like being cold. My hands freeze. My ears freeze. My face gets all numb. I took off my coat for two seconds, and as you can see…I put it right back on.

Yes, I wore two coats. Well, I suppose really a jacket and a coat over it. Both were necessary. The shearing jacket was extra warm because of the lining. I got it on sale on my new favorite site, Need Supply. The prices are pretty comparable to what you might pay at TOPSHOP or Zara, and I feel like everything they carry is totally my style! I am literally obsessed with them.

Quick update on my hair: it’s already growing out. I haven’t measured it or anything, but I’d “guesstimate” there’s about half an inch of black hair that’s crept out of my scalp. I’m contemplating whether or not it’ll be worth it to get my roots touched up in the summer. I love the color so much! I was thinking of going back to black for the wedding, but now I’m not so sure I’ll be ready to give up my little chunk of color. Gaaaaaahhhhhhh…decisions, decisions.
