HOUSE + HOME | Our Holiday Housewarming

Quentin and I opened our home to family and friends this past weekend for our housewarming and holiday party! We had such a good time entertaining in OUR place. I made a few treats (mini cheeseburger sliders, buffalo chicken dip, and these super cute Santa Hat cheesecake squares) and friends brought wine, cookies, candy…did I mention wine?

I wore an easy and comfortable sleeveless dress with a relaxed fit and plunging neckline that I found at ASOS. I paired it with simple gold accessories, including a really beautiful “Infinity Ring” by The Wrap Life that I bought at the LoveBrownSugar pop-up.

I really enjoyed having everyone over, and I can’t wait to do it again. I love entertaining and making people feel comfortable and welcome in my home. I’ve also enjoyed the process of decorating our apartment! We still have some more finishing touches here and there (mostly adding some art pieces), and we’re currently on the hunt for an entryway table. I also want an area rug for our bedroom; something with a little texture (like this) would be nice.

It’s been a pretty stressful few weeks, so it was nice to throw my energy into something fun. I think my body is slowly shutting down…I’m exhausted, but unfortunately there’s still so much left to do before the year is out. That’s why I’m looking forward to a long Christmas weekend, and then on January 1st, we’re finally heading to Thailand for our honeymoon! I just can’t wait to get away and recharge. In the meantime, I’m praying that I can finish 2014 strong.
