Circle Me | A Google+ Linky Party

One of my goals for my blog in 2014 is to really understand AND use Google Plus. I even added a fancy widget on my sidebar! So I thought, why not jump in feet first and get everyone growing their circles with a Google linky party!

Every Monday I will give some helpful Google tips and provide a linky party so you can find your friends and new followers on Google .

Let’s get started with the basics.

Create a Google Plus Account

In order to have a Google Plus account, you need a Google account. Go to plus.google.com and at the top right hand corner you will see “create and account”. Next you can upload a profile picture (250×250) and provide your basic information.

Create Circles

The first time you go on Google , you will be prompted to add people to circles. There are four default options to place someone in a circle, “family”, “friends”, “acquaintances”, and “following”. If you don’t find these options to your liking, you can always add your own category of circles.

Those are the basics for this week. Let’s get started with the linky party.

Rules for the linky party:

1. Circle me! (I am the first person on the linky party)

2. Circle at least 5 other people

3. (Optional, but I would LOVE if you did!) Share the love on Twitter!
