Salted Caramel Pecan Bars Recipe

It has been another busy week hosting our families, a school field trip & A LOT of baking! Some of my recipes are old favorites, others are new developments or twists on classics. When I think fall, I always think of caramel & pecan! Years ago, while in college, I worked at a boutique catering/to go company that made unbelievable pecan bars. Cut into triangles, they would fly out the door in fall. I decided to go back in time & recreate the classic pecan bar with a salted caramel twist. Personally, I’m not over salted caramel. I don’t think I’ll ever be. Sweet & salty has always worked for me. I recently took a class about food trends & while I think they’re fun to explore, I like what I like! No matter how you flavor beef jerky, it’s not for me. Everything smoked? Not embracing that one either. I also heard that dipping oil for bread is going out, but I don’t want to believe it. Cheers to salted caramel, my life long love.

They’re slightly gooey & chewy & cut into the most perfect little bars.

Oh, and that wheat sheaf centerpiece? You can make that two. It just takes 5 minutes! Get the tutorial.
