Smile Brilliant LED Teeth Whitening Review
I have long been considering some serious teeth whitening. I've previously tried the Crest white strips...they work alright, but make my teeth so sensitive! Before taking the more expensive route with something like Zoom! whitening, I decided it wouldn't hurt to try another home whitening product by Smile Brilliant!
I received two tubes, a mouth guard (not pictured) and a LED light. I decided that I would only be whitening my top teeth for now, since my smile really doesn't show the bottom ones ever.
A quick before snap, taken in natural lighting with no editing. Not bad, but you can definitely see some yellow and grey-ish tones.
This is what it looks like to use this LED whitening system. You apply a layer of the gel to your teeth and then put the mouthguard in, and then hold the light in place with your lips.
Gotta be honest, this isn't comfortable at all...And you have to keep it there for 20-45 minutes! I would usually watch TV while doing this but always found myself counting down the minutes. They also recommend leaving the mouthguard in for 1-3 additional hours - I mean really? Who has time for that?
This is one big con compared to other whitening systems like strips. The strips aren't exactly pleasant either but I could still talk and drink water if I wanted to.
Also, I kept having some problems with the light where it would turn off half way through so I kept having to check to make sure it was on.
Now for the PROS.
I experienced NO teeth sensitivity whatsoever with this product, which is a huge plus for me! You also can't taste the gel at all, whereas with strips I find that the gel kinda leaks into your mouth and tastes awful.
The other big pro? I actually saw results fairly quickly! I only used this product for 7 days and here is my AFTER smile. I noticed in these photos you can't see a huge difference, but I have had comments in real life on my smile!
Overall I'd rate this product 7/10! If you're willing to put up with a bit of annoyance with the tray/LED light, then you can get great results for a low cost! Click here to purchase the Smile Brilliant system - and yes, they ship internationally!
