Photographer Katerina Plotnikova’s Fairy tale Portraits

Fairytale-like portrait imagery picturing surreal scenes of humans and animals, that’s Russian photographer’s, Katerina Plotinikova‘s work. You may think the animals in her pictures have been photoshopped into them but they’re, in fact, as real as you and I. Katrina shoots with real animals, most of whom were or domesticated but as she says all are treated very well by their human trainers including Stepan, the bear and Adyssey, the fox.

Katrina says that she gets inspired by “home improvement and hardware stores” as well as “flea markets, secondhand stores, even garbage bins”. The results are portraits of infinite warmth and incredible detail. Truly magical.
