3 Steps to Your Perfect Brow

One of my many flaws is that my eyebrows are very light and sparse. Perhaps it's the Native American heritage in my family, which I love for the sake of no arm hair for example, but for eyebrows...they need some work. If you are a person with big gorgeous dark eyebrows then consider yourself envied. For those of us with lighter eyebrows, this tutorial will get you to a good place in just 3 steps.

Before we get started let's talk about grooming, whether by threading, waxing, or plucking, this is your base for a great set of brows. I only pluck mine and believe it or not I try really hard not to over-pluck them since they are already thin naturally. I get stray hairs outside of my natural arch that need to go and I am sure to pluck strays about every other day. Also, many people forget about trimming. Brush your eyebrows up with either your finger or a brow brush and trim the hairs that stick out beyond the others. These two tips will give you a clean starting point for each day and trust me, it really makes a difference.

Start by lining your brows with this Anastasia pencil, I begin at the bottom and trace along my natural brow line then in small strokes fill them in a little, steering clear of the innermost part of your brow.

Then trace along the top in small strokes or in a clean line. You will use the other side of the pencil (the brush) to blend the line so that it looks natural.

Next, fill in your brows with this Anastasia brow powder. I used to just use a MAC eyeshadow for this purpose but let me tell you, there is some kind of magic in this powder. It made quite a big difference.

Start in the middle and blend outward. Then use the rest of the powder on your angled brush to fill in the inside part of your eyebrow. Blend with the brush.

Lastly, using the Benefit Gimme Brow, I set and define my brows. This mascara like gel gives fullness and a very polished look. Some can get away with just using this gel so if you don't need to really fill in your brows but just want some fullness and umpf then this is for you.

Such a big difference isn't it? I think back to when I did not fill in my eyebrows and wonder if people thought I had them bleached or if I was a very sick girl haha. You CAN work with what God gave you and I hope these tips help you achieve your perfect brow. Let me know if you have any questions!
