FASHIONWEEK | Jacob Kok

If you follow my Facebook, Twitter or Instagram you would’ve known that it was Amsterdam Fashion Week, no wait Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam to be exact. Because since this year Amsterdam Fashion Week is sponsored by the one and only Mercedes Benz and to be honest, it looked stunning inside the Westergasfabriek (this was the place where most of the shows where held). It looked luxurious and glamorous with different places where you could sit down, have a drink and chat with incredibly nice people.

I went this year to Jacob Kok and he was one of the designers for the Vodafone fashion lab. The what? Yes the Vodafone fashionlab. It’s the same amount of days as fashionweek and then the upcoming designers have the chance to show their collection and ideas. And I think this idea of Vodafone is incredible. So, way to go Vodafone!

Back to the show. It was short, it really was short. But if you looked at some of the amazing items, then it was suddenly okay. Jacob Kok is so incredibly talented and you see this immediately in his little collection. Still in love with that first coat, the little (short) jacket and those shoes. Seriously this was the shortest show I’ve ever been to, but for a short show like this it was incredibly good. You clearly see some space inspiration back in the clothes, but not too much. This is really something I appreciate a lot, it’s just the right amount of space in these clothes. Congratulations again to Jacob Kok for being such an amazing talent and for this tiny collection which was just totally awesome.

By the way the lights in the sit area were really bad… So that’s why these pictures below are this bad, sorry guys didn’t mean to but yeah there was pretty much not much what I could do when we were there. I enjoyed my night very much and I want to thank Vodafone again for these tickets.
