Treats for Your Dog’s Health

Disclosure: I received the products mentioned to facilitate my healthy dog treats review. Regardless, the opinions in this article are my own. I do not work for, or with, any brand mentioned in this article, nor do
I have any official relationship with them. I have a relationship with GigaSavvy, for whom I create original editorial content.

I am always looking for products that are healthy for our pup. She’s a Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) and is nearing 6 years old, which for large breed dogs is “old.” Yet she is still so playful and loves playing with the kids and even the cat! We need to be sure to keep her in the best health she can be. That is why I was so excited for the chance to review healthy dog treats from VetIQ.

The dog treats we received for our review aren’t just healthy in the sense that they have better ingredients (which they do) but also because they have added benefits for pets’ health. In fact, they strive to offer vet recommended products and are manufactured here in the USA. For our review we received Minties and Vitamin Chews.

Minties

I have a hard time brushing Caprice’s teeth. She has anxiety and any actions that cause her to be held still really makes her nervous. Anything that may help her dental health without holding her still is definitely an advantage. That’s why I loved that the Minties offered something she enjoyed and was cleaning her teeth at the same time! She enjoys them, so I also didn’t have to do anything to convince her to take it.

Something else I appreciate about Minties is they are offered in various sizes. Something that we run into often is that the treats are meant for small to “average” size dogs, and they’re not even big enough for her to chew. The Minties for Large Breed Dogs was actually large enough to chew – and chew for a while. Plus they don’t contain any of the ingredients we try to avoid like corn, artificial flavors and animal by-products.

Vitamin Chews

The Vitamin Chews are amazing. Caprice loves them and is now eager for the kids to give them to her every morning. Because she is large breed, we just simply give her four of the Vitamin Chews.

Each Vitamin Chew is just a little smaller than the palm of my hand. They clearly have a taste our dog loves, and she’s getting her daily vitamins at the same time! In fact, they contain 19 different vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. I know Caprice doesn’t get all of the vitamins and minerals she needs, and I could hide a pill, but I love that these are treats she truly enjoys and is getting her vitamins in an enjoyable treat!

Overall, we’re definitely happy with the products from VetIQ. They are of high quality, are treats our pup enjoys, and offer many benefits to her health. I feel good about giving her these treats to help improve and maintain her health.
