More Comfort with Recovery Footwear #FeelTheOO

My husband has chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy. His feet are often numb or painful. Comfortable footwear can really make a difference in how he feels. Plus, he often loses balance which can be exasperated by improper or footwear that isn’t supportive. Of course, here in Texas it gets hot, so it’s nice to have open shoes, which are the hardest to find in the “comfortable and supportive” category. I was excited for the chance for him to review OOFOS recovery footwear.

Here were his first impressions:

As he mentioned, he immediately found them to be soft and supportive and felt good about his balance. As he continues to wear them, he continues to talk about the support and comfort. He can wear them consistently without any problems. Another problem he has is that his footwear wears down easily and quickly along the outside. When he is having moments where his feet are hurting or are numb he tends to walk on the outside of his feet. Beyond causing his footwear to wear out easily, it also build callouses on his feet. Because his OOFOS OOriginal are so supportive he also isn’t walking on the outside of his feet.

Another advantage of his OOFOS OOriginal is they offer great traction on wet surfaces as well. When somebody already has balance challenges, the last thing they need is slipping on slick surfaces! We have hard floors, and it’s not uncommon for the kids to spill water and not tell anybody until one of is discovers it by accident! Eek! He definitely appreciates the traction.

He wears his OOFOS as every day footwear as well as around the house. They are the perfect recovery footwear for when he has been on his feet all day. Even his tennis shoes make his feet hurt, so it’s nice for him to be able to kick off his shoes and slip on his OOFOs. It’s great that they are more than just any footwear but actually offer so many great benefits. I have Fibromyalgia and my feet often hurt as well, so I definitely plan to get some OOFOS for myself as well!
