A Gentle Foaming Cleanser from Mia Mariu

I have finicky skin. Some areas are more particular than others like my neck and side of my face. It doesn’t take much for it to flare up. Even the hot water from the shower can cause it to flare up. Because of this, I have started avoiding cleansers for my face and neck. Although I use products without harsh chemicals, the cleansers were still affecting my natural oils, which meant (you guessed it!) irritated, inflamed, flared up skin. It’s actually pretty embarrassing! So, I ditched the cleansers altogether!

When I saw that Mia Mariu has a new and improved anti-inflammatory formula Refreshing Foaming Gel Cleanser, I was intrigued. When I saw the ingredients, I knew I had to try it! Because I have been pleased with other Mia Mariu products I’ve reviewed in the past, I had a good feeling about it!

Ingredients in the Foaming Cleanser include: aloe, marigold, sea kelp, sea lettuce, plus nourishing essential oils: orange peel, lemon, lime and grapefruit. To me, I saw a powerhouse of ingredients. Aloe is known for its soothing properties as are the sea ingredients as well. What I was most excited about, though, was the essential oil blend. Out of everything I have tried for a cleanser, the only thing that didn’t make my skin flare up contained orange peel and lemon.

So was it everything I had hoped? I am happy to say it has definitely not caused any skin flare ups. In fact, it actually looks a little better after using it despite the hot shower, which, as I mentioned, makes my skin flare up on its own. It’s my hope that as I continue to use it I will actually see a significant improvement!

This Foaming Gel Cleanser does have the consistency of a soft gel and works into a nice, subtle lather that glides on easily. The lather isn’t overboard, of course, because it doesn’t contain the harmful ingredients that cause that type of later, which is definitely reassuring! It rinses off cleanly and easily, and my skin feels so soft afterwards! It also feels cool and refreshed!

The ingredient combination isn’t only great for soothing and cleansing, but it smells great as well – without artificial fragrances! I am definitely happy with this cleanser and am so glad I decided to give it a chance!
