Things I've Learned from My Vegan Husband

In honor of Father's Day this weekend, I'm arranging a couple of posts to celebrate the man in my life. Ryan, you amaze me everyday.

My husband has been vegan for the past three years, and it's something that he's very proud of. And he's an amazing cook. I can't even describe how amazing Ryan is at baking - recently, he made a chocolate-and-amaretto-cream cake from scratch (in preparation for our wedding). Mmmm it was delicious. But I digress. Ryan has inspired me in so many ways, but above all else, I have learned:

Have an opinion. And what's more, be educated on your opinion. Defend it.

Don't listen to the negativity of others. There will always be people who disagree with your beliefs, and you should honor yourself.

Stick to your beliefs. Don't abandon them in the face of conflict.
