When I was offered the opportunity to try Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops, I almost said no. I don’t usually use cough or throat drops. I don’t like the way they numb my tongue (I think it’s meant to numb your sore throat, but all it does is numb my tongue, which isn’t helpful). Cough drops upset my stomach and make it burn. I just don’t like cough drops. But the “softish” description in the name intrigued me. What is “softish” and how does that apply to a throat drop? So, I agreed to try Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops and boy am I (and my son) glad that I did.
With the intrigue of the Pine Bros. story and the “softish” description, I, a don’t-like-cough-drops skeptic, gave one a try. The Throat Drops come in three flavors: Natural Honey, Wild Cherry, and Black Licorice. I chose the Wild Cherry. The first thing I noticed was that is has a very pleasant flavor. It’s not too sweet, not too strong and didn’t numb my tongue. Then I noticed the texture. It is “softish,” that’s the best description. It’s not hard like regular cough drops (which is good, because I tend to bite the hard cough drops and that can damage my teeth). It’s not soft like a gummy candy. It falls somewhere in between. The great thing about the “softish” texture is that you can’t really bite it; you have to make it last (which is best for your sore throat).
My son came home with a sore throat that day and I gave him a Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops to try. He really liked them. He enjoyed the taste and the texture and felt that it helped soothe his sore throat. The good thing is that these Throat Drops don’t taste like medicine. But that leads to a caution – be careful that your children understand that these are not candy.
I’m now ready for the Spring cold and sore throat season with this great on-the-go sized container of Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops. No more fishing through my bag for a cough drop that fell to the bottom corner. No more finding cough drops in my family’s pants pockets or the laundry.
You can find Pine Bros. on Facebook. You’ve got to give these Throat Drops a try for yourself. They really do work and in such a pleasant way. Oh, and they’re Made in the USA!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
