A little bit more on those minis

I'm back! Quilt Market was fantastic, and it was so wonderful seeing all of the friends I don't see often enough. More on that in the next post!

We had a different booth this time, one of the smaller ones in the Moda Designer booth section. While it was super dreamy having it all pretty and set up so perfectly (seriously, thank you Moda!!!), I wasn't sure how much display space I would have before I got there. I was a little bit worried that people wouldn't be able to see my quilts!

So late one night I thought of a solution to this dilema. Tiny quilts! On a tiny clothes line. With tiny clothespins!

Of course I couldn't help myself, and immediately started on my first one, Puddle Jumping.

The blocks are 3" finished, with 1/2" finished sashing. I was hooked after that first block. Honestly, this is the most fun I've had sewing in a very long time! These little blocks are so delightful!!

Once I finished that one, I immediately started on a tiny Raincheck quilt. I about died when I cut out those teeny tiny umbrella handles because they were SO DARN CUTE AND TINY. The blocks were 3" x 3.75" and I just shrunk the umbrella and handle tempate down to fit.

I even used the scraps from my big Raincheck quilt to make the striped umbrellas.

I also made a teeny tiny Starlight quilt.

This one was a bit of a bear to make, and I don't think I'll release a pattern for it since it took longer to make than the big quilt, but I'm still glad I made it! The whole thing measures 7" x 9", and those star points are 1/4" finished!

After about the 100th request for a pattern for a mini Puddle Jumping at Quilt Market, I decided that maybe I wasn't the only one who wanted to make mini quilts after all.

So... I'm excited to tell you that a brand new pattern series, starting with a little Mini Puddle Jumping pattern.

So here's my plan. And you can tell me I'm crazy. I want to make a mini version of each of of my quilt patterns and hang them all on the wall in my sewing room. What do you think?
