[Put some color on] teenage girl in layered outfit, 1944

Late fall is for bundling up, i.e. coming up with ideas on how to layer everything you own without looking like a snowman. Suggestion: take inspiration from 1940s teenagers, who were badass layering masters! A petticoat slip such as this one acts as a base layer that keeps your back warm, but also as a way to puff up your skirt. Then comes the classic (off) white shirt, for a proper, neat look, and finally the cardigan, chunky and cozy, in seasonal burgundy. A few pieces of jewelry won’t keep you warm, but they’ll look nice, and extra points if you can do you hair like this girl.
