Top 5: Reasons Why I Unfollow Blogs

Why would I unfollow your blog? Before I begin though, I just realised that my last post was 3 whole days ago. It’s not a lot but it’s the longest break I’ve taken in a while. I’ve been busy (lazy too) but I’m back now! For the next month or so, I think I’ll be getting more and more busy so if my posts are lacking, that’s why! But anyway, back to the reasons why I’d click ‘Unfollow.’ I’m sure these are the same for a lot of people but here are my top five in no particular order.

I don’t like your personality.
Okay so I know this one makes me seem really mean but if I follow you and then realise that I don’t really like you, then I’d probably unfollow you. I don’t like it when you treat book blogging like a major competition. This one has only happened a few times though because I think the whole of the book blogging community is really nice.

I never read your posts.
This one’s obvious right? I use Bloglovin’ and when I realise that I always skip a particular blog’s posts, then I just unfollow them.

Tours tours tours.
I love book tours, I really do. I think they’re a great way to share the love of books. However, when you don’t post anything but book tours, it just gets a bit repetitive.

Too many giveaways.
This may not make sense to some people because giveaways are awesome! I love giveaways too but when people continuously post giveaways for things like ‘one e-book’ ‘one bookmark’ etc. I just don’t feel the need to stay followed.

People who don’t reply to comments.
I was planning to give this one it’s own discussion but I’ll see. I just feel really sad when I’ve put a lot of effort into comments post after post and I never get a reply. It sucks you know? Sometimes it’s also bothersome when bloggers don’t have any comment notification kind of thing. I just like to know when someone replies but it’s not a big deal.
